Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need a card machine for these solutions?

No. Teya’s Tap to Pay uses your compatible smartphone, while Manual Entry (MOTO) and Payment Links only require an internet-connected device.

Yes. Payments are encrypted and processed in line with card scheme security requirements, and your customer’s card details are not stored on your device.

Yes. Teya’s Manual Entry (MOTO) lets you take a payment when your customer gives you their card details over the phone. Manual Entry is subject to approval and is not available to every business, and a surcharge applies on top of your standard transaction rate. As the card is not present, you may be liable for chargebacks on these payments, and you must not write down, store or record your customer’s full card details. Where your customer has internet access, we recommend using Pay by Link instead.

Do I need a website to use Payment Links?

No. Payment Links can be sent directly by email, SMS or messaging apps, making them ideal for businesses without an online store.

That depends on how you take payments. Our team can help you compare the available options and recommend the solution that best fits your business.
